The University of Bedfordshire is a public university located in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, England. It gained university status in 1992 but has had roots going far back as 1882. 

The university entered the Research Assessment Exercise in 2008 and achieved a GPA of 2.087 with 34.7% world-leading or international excellent. Its top units of assessment were in Communication, Cultural and Media Studies, Social Work Social Policy and Administration and English Language and Literature. The university also achieved FairTrade status.

The University of Bedfordshire is proud to be an internationally recognised and award winning institution with a heritage of quality education going back more than 100 years.
