As well as covering all of the essential criteria of a Qualifying Law degree, this course allows you to take a deeper look at the agencies and institutions that implement and enforce the law. You get to study modules that help define what crime is and means, and determine the processes of everything from investigation and trials to sentencing, prisons and legal penalties, all while factoring in human rights.

Course Details
Full-time three year Law with Criminal Justice

Our Law with Criminal Justice is designed to specifically suit students who wish to pursue a career in the legal or wider commercial sectors, or in the wider criminal justice system and associated professions.

In addition to studying key legal topics, you will also study Criminal Justice options which examine the agencies and the institutions of the law, looking at their roles, responsibilities and discretion. You can also explore issues of accountability in relation to current developments in criminal justice. The course focuses on key concepts, such as the definition of crime and the philosophy of sentencing. The legal process is central to criminal justice studies, which is why you’ll get the chance to take a detailed look at the courts and hearings for adults and young people, the theory and practice of sentencing, prison systems and community based penalties, and the place that human rights has in all these processes.

Studying our degree will also mean you are prepared in part for the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE 1) or to progress onto our Bar Practice Course (if you wish to qualify as a barrister).

When you study Law with Criminal Justice with us you will receive:
  • The highest standard of teaching from experienced professionals
  • Small class sizes
  • A choice of campuses across the UK
